  1. Schedule your notary appointment online at our website, or by calling or texting 469-783-6393
  2. If witnesses are required, coordinate schedules to ensure they can arrive on time for the appointment
  3. If witnesses are required, but you are unable to provide your own witnesses, your notary can provide one for you for an additional fee
  4. Provide a copy of the document you want to sign and have notarized
  5. Make sure all forms are fully completed, but do not sign until in the presence of the notary.
  6. You must provide a valid and current government-issued photo ID, such as a valid driver’s license or passport. (If this is not available please advise your notary)
  7. All witnesses present (as needed) with a government-issued photo ID present.
  8. All Signers must be present before the notary public when signing the document.

Trust our mobile notary services to save you time and hassle. We provide flexible scheduling and punctual service, wherever you need us in Texas.

Frequently Asked questions

What type of documents can you notarize?

We can notarize a wide range of documents including legal, financial, real estate, and medical documents.

How does your mobile notary service work?

Our mobile notary service allows us to come to you at your convenience. Book an appointment, and a certified notary will meet you at your specified location.

What is required for apostille services?

For apostille services, you'll need to provide the original document and specify the country of use. We handle the rest, ensuring your documents are authenticated for international use.

What is a Notary Public?

A responsible person appointed by state government to witness the signing of important documents and administer oaths.

What is required for a document to be notarized?

Most documents that are notarized must have the following: (1) Language that commits the signer in some way.

(2) A signature. (3) Anotarial certificate that the Notary completes to evidence the notarization.

Is a Notary Public and a Notario Publico the same?

No. Though they sound similar, the roles and duties are very different. In Latin America, a Notario Publico is an attorney or a high-ranking official (such as a judge). In the United States, a Notary cannot prepare legal documents or give advice on immigration or other matters unless the Notary is also an attorney.

Why are documents notarized?

To increase public trust in transactions and signed documents and to deter fraud. As an impartial witness, the Notary verifies that the signers of documents are who they say they are. The Notary also makes sure

that signers have entered into agreements knowingly and willingly. In a society in which business dealings between strangers are the norm, notarization lends integrity to signed documents.

Where do I report illegal or improper acts by a Notary?

Any wrongdoing or illegal activity should be reported to law enforcement or to the appropriate state office that regulates Notaries. In most states the Notary regulator is the secretary of state, but depending upon the state it could be the governor, lieutenant governor or attorney general.

What are the different types of notarization?

There are different reasons you might need to have documents notarized. Here are the main types of notarization.

  • Signature witnessing. You are probably most familiar with this type of notarization. The notary needs to witness you signing a document and certify that you are who you claim to be.
  • Acknowledgments. With an acknowledgment, you have to verbally declare that you signed a document and you did so willingly. You do not necessarily have to sign the document in front of the notary.
  • Copy certifications. In this case, a notary would make a copy of a document and certify that it is authentic. States have different rules about which documents a notary can copy and certify, but usually they copy things like college transcripts and medical records.
  • Jurats. A jurat requires you to appear in person and speak an oath or affirmation. You might even have to raise your hand, similar to being sworn into a jury.

Notarization process in texas

A notary public, an impartial third-party appointed by a state government, carries out the notarization. Here's a step-by-step guide to the general notarization process:

Locate a Notary Public: Notaries public can often be found in various places, including banks, law offices, and courier businesses. Some notaries also offer mobile services, coming to your location for convenience.

Present the Document: The document to be notarized must be presented to the notary public. The document should be completely filled out, leaving only the necessary signatures. A notary cannot notarize a blank or incomplete document.

Provide Identification: To prove your identity to the notary public, you'll need to present a valid form of identification. This typically includes government-issued identification cards, such as a driver's license, state-issued identification card, or a passport.

Sign the Document: You must sign the document in the presence of the notary public. This allows the notary to verify that you are signing the document willingly and that you are the person you claim to be.

Notary Completes the Notarization: The notary public will then complete the notarization. They will fill out a notarial certificate that includes details such as who signed the document, what document was signed, where and when the signing occurred. The notary will also affix their official seal to the document.

Notarization fees:

In Texas, notaries can charge a fee of $6 per signature for each notarial act they perform.

Texas notaries may also charge additional fees for ancillary services, but these aren’t regulated by the state.

For example, a notary might charge a fee if they’re traveling to you. There’s no maximum amount notaries can charge for travel in Texas, but there is a legal requirement for the notary to agree to the travel fee with you in advance. The notary also has to explain that the travel fee is separate and not required by law.

Texas notaries can also charge fees for other services they might provide, such as providing certified copies of documents, or offering courier or document preparation services. However, these fees are not regulated by state law, and they can vary widely depending on the specific notary and the services provided.

As always, for the most accurate and up-to-date information on notary fees in Texas, it's best to contact a notary public in your area or the Texas Secretary of State's office, which oversees notaries public in the state.
